This year to celebrate Easter, Cédric Grolet, Head Pâtissier at Le Meurice, reveals his latest creation: The Easter Basket.
Inspired by the traditional egg hunt, eagerly awaited by children all over the world, he has imagined for 2013 a delicious, brightly coloured basket full of sweet temptations. All in white chocolate, the basket is ready to be hidden in the garden, wrapped in Le Meurice green grass, with a sprinkling of white chocolate daises as a reminder that along with the Easter Bunny comes Spring! Tucked inside the basket are white chocolate eggs, dusted with silver, that young and old won't even have to hunt for!
And because Le Meurice excels in conjuring up surprises for all its guests, the egg hunt becomes a real-life treasure hunt for the dark chocolate ganache and toasted coconut truffles that are hidden inside the basket, so that everyone can enjoy something chocolatey. The intensity and character of Manjari Grand Cru dark chocolate brings out the sweetness of the coconut for a taste experience worth hunting down!
